Honhaar Scholarship 2026 Overview
The CM Punjab Honhaar Scholarship Program is a flagship Punjab government scheme that supports talented students in higher education. The Chief Minister said it has supported 160,000 students across 70 disciplines.
The new phase covers two groups: students starting their degrees in Fall 2026 and students already studying at eligible public-sector institutions. The rules differ for each group, so read the right section below.
Who Can Apply for Honhaar Scholarship 2026?
According to ProPakistani’s report on the new phase, every applicant must hold a Punjab domicile. There is no age limit or gender restriction.
First-semester and first-year students (Fall 2026) must be enrolled in selected disciplines at participating public universities and colleges, public medical and dental colleges, HED colleges, or partner federal and private institutions. First-year MBBS and BDS students of 2026 are also eligible.
Second-semester and second-year students onward must study at eligible public-sector universities, public medical and dental colleges or HED colleges. Under Phase IV, this group does not include federal and private institutions.
Your institution and discipline must also appear on the participating lists. Meeting the marks and income rules alone is not enough.
